本周我們學(xué)習(xí)和零食相關(guān)的詞匯
1. savory/'seiv?ri/
adj. 咸味的;辣味的
e.g. I usually go for savory snacks like popcorn instead of chocolate.
e.g. I’m craving something savory, maybe some salted nuts.
補充 :crave v. 渴望;喜歡
adj. 品格優(yōu)秀的[通常用于否定句]
e.g. He has an unsavory habit of gossiping about others.
e.g. His reputation was anything but savory.
補充:anything but 遠不;一點也不
2. filling/'f?l??/
adj. (食物)令人感到飽足的
e.g. This sandwich is very filling.
e.g. I usually eat something light because heavy meals are too filling.
補充:light adj. 清淡的
n. (糕點的)餡
e.g. I love chocolate filling in my cake.
e.g. These dumplings have a vegetable filling.
3. nibble/'n?b(?)l/
v. 小口咬;輕咬;慢慢吃
搭配:nibble on/ at + 食物
e.g. He nibbled on some cheese crackers while watching TV.
e.g. She nibbled on a cookie while reading.
n.啃;咬一小口
搭配 :take a nibble [of+食物]
e.g. He offered me a slice of cake, so I took a nibble.
4. munch/m?n(t)?/
v. (大聲地)咀嚼
搭配:munch on+食物
munch away / through – 一直吃;吃完
e.g. She munched on popcorn while watching the movie.
e.g. He munched his way through a bag of chips.
5. on-the-go snack
便攜零食;隨時吃的零食[尤其是忙碌或外出時]
e.g. I always keep some on-the-go snacks in my bag for busy days.
e.g. Energy bars are perfect on-the-go snacks for hiking.
補充:on the go 忙個不停;四處奔走[形容詞短語/副詞短語]
e.g. She’s always on the go with work, school, and family commitments.
e.g. This travel mug is great for people on the go.
